Son Muntaner Concludes the Regular Season of the Audi quattro Cup

18 de July de 2024

The regular season of the Audi quattro Cup has just come to an end. This past weekend, the last two tournaments granting access to the Territorial Finals were held. Six more pairs, the last in this 2024 edition, secured their spots to compete in the upcoming weeks for a place in the National Final and to dream of representing Spain in the World Final in mid-November. The dream continues.

On Saturday, July 13th, at Son Muntaner, the first tournament of the circuit held in Palma de Mallorca saw no less than 94 players registered. All participants enjoyed a spectacular course, home to the DP World Tour, which was in excellent condition with firm greens and perfect weather for golf. Thanks to One Motors, the Audi dealership in Palma, the setting was even more splendid with the display of S3, Q4, Q6, and Q8 models spread across the course.

Natividad Sánchez, Jose Manuel Quiles, and Antonio Payeras, representing the sponsor, joined the fans who came to enjoy the exciting competition. Shaun Howard and Matthew Buley secured their spot in the Scratch category for the Eastern Territorial Final, which will take place from September 6th to 8th at Infinitum. In the Handicap category, Antonio Zuzama and Bartolomé Juan Soberats were the lucky winners, while Felipe Prieto and Raúl Frechoso earned their places among Audi customers.

The following day, at Barceló Montecastillo Golf, next to the Jerez – Ángel Nieto Circuit in Jerez de la Frontera, Cádiz, the regular season of this Audi quattro Cup concluded with another fantastic event featuring 84 golfers. They teed off at 9:00 a.m. under good weather conditions, with less heat than expected for the region at this time of year, and a well-maintained course.

With an excellent pace of play, allowing matches to be completed in less than four and a half hours, and a superb final cocktail event with the usual prize-giving ceremony, the circuit celebrated the end of the qualifying rounds. Additionally, thanks to the sponsorship of Solera Motor, the Audi dealership in Jerez de la Frontera, represented by Commercial Director Óscar Lara and Paula Cerrato, there was a display of two Q4 Sportbacks, an A3 Sportback, and an A3 sedan.

Gonzalo Gancedo and Fernando Moreno, in the Scratch category, Manuel Becerra and Antonio Ríos, in Handicap, and Santiago Bascuas and Jaime Arévalo, among Audi customers, formed the three pairs who secured their qualification for the Western Territorial Final, to be held next week from July 26th to 28th at Golf Santander. From there, the first pairs will qualify for the National Final from October 11th to 13th at La Manga Club, with the other Territorial Final completing the lineup in September.
