Arabella Golf Mallorca has launched SATGOLF, a smart early-warning system that combines artificial intelligence, environmental sensors and hyperlocal climate data to optimise water management, anticipate extreme weather events and enhance safety across our facilities.

This project has been funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU under the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, with a subsidised investment of €150,000 and with SON VIDA GOLF SLU as the beneficiary entity.

Technology serving sustainability

SATGOLF monitors in real time critical variables such as heavy rainfall, strong winds, lightning, soil humidity and compaction. Thanks to this predictive capacity, it enables precise irrigation management, reduced water consumption and more effective decision-making under adverse conditions.

The system also integrates intelligent cameras capable of detecting unauthorised access or risky behaviour, connecting climatic, environmental and human factors within a single management ecosystem.

This initiative is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly clean water and sanitation (SDG 6), climate action (SDG 13) and sustainable communities (SDG 11). SATGOLF illustrates how the tourism sector can actively contribute to global challenges through applied technology and environmental responsibility.
