Alexandra Schörghuber receives Balearic Islands Tourism Award 2022

It is a special award that Alexandra Schörghuber has received for her decades of commitment to quality tourism on the holiday island of Mallorca: Following a unanimous decision by the jury of the Illes Balears Tourism Prize, she has been awarded the “Ambassador of the Balearic Islands” prize.

With the St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort, the Castillo Hotel Son Vida and the Sheraton Mallorca Arabella Golf Hotel, three outstanding hotels with exclusive spa areas, an award-winning gourmet restaurant and four varied golf courses are part of the sophisticated hotel and golf offer that the Schörghuber family has created on Mallorca. When it comes to the sustainable operation of hotels and golf courses, Arabella Hoteles e Inversiones de España is now a front-runner, and active participation and promotion of the circular economy on Mallorca is a matter of course. The aspiration to establish quality tourism at the highest level runs as a leitmotif through all the entrepreneurial activities of the Schörghuber family on the island. For this, Alexandra Schörghuber was awarded the “Ambassador of the Balearic Islands” prize in Palma de Mallorca on 27.09.2022.

The tourism prize is awarded annually by the Balearic tourism authority and honours people who support a tourism concept that is characterised by social responsibility, sustainability and quality. The jury, made up of representatives from various authorities and industry associations, unanimously selects nine people, companies or institutions. The awards were presented by the Balearic Prime Minister Francina Armengol, the President of the Island Council Catalina Cladera and the Minister of Tourism Iago Negueruela.WE congratulate Alexandra Schörghuber on this great award.
