German golfer Alexandra Försterling wins the Mallorca Ladies Golf Open
German golfer Alexandra Försterling, 23, has been crowned the winner of the Mallorca Ladies Golf Open, held at the Golf Son Muntaner course at Arabella Golf Mallorca. With this victory, Försterling secures her second title on the Ladies European Tour (LET) in her debut season.

Coming off her win at the Swiss Ladies Open in September, Försterling carded a 67 (-5) in the final round for a total of 13 under par, five strokes ahead of Thai golfer Trichat Cheenglab, who finished in second place. “I can’t believe that after the event in Switzerland, I’ve been able to win here in Mallorca.” said Försterling. “I was very nervous at first, but my experience from winning in Switzerland helped me. Fortunately, I saw on the leaderboard that I was comfortably in the lead, and it’s a nice feeling when you know it and can play the 18th hole in a relaxed manner.
Försterling received a prize of 60,000 euros for her victory. With this result, the German golfer is now fifth in the Race to Costa del Sol, which will be decided next week at the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España. The third place in the Mallorca Ladies Golf Open went to Dutch golfer Anne van Dam, with a total of 7 under par.

Francisco Vila, CEO of Arabella Hospitality Spain: “I want to express my gratitude to all the staff at Arabella Golf Mallorca, as it has been a week where they have demonstrated extraordinary commitment and dedication, which has been reflected in the unanimous comments from all participants about the excellent condition of the course and the service provided.

The Mallorca Ladies Golf Open is not only the first professional event of the Ladies European Tour on the island but also a gift for golf and sports enthusiasts, and, above all, a very positive initiative for Mallorcan society. It is proof of our commitment to promoting excellence, supporting tourism, and showcasing the beauty of Mallorca on the world stage.
